Bostik, one of the world’s leading bonding solutions companies, has announced the official opening of a new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant, Bostik Egypt in Cairo. Opening ceremonies will be held in Cairo in next month. Bostik recently exhibited at EDANA’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Nonwovens Symposium in Dubai, UAE, with 300 delegates in attendance. Bostik was pleased to announce the upcoming plant opening:“There was tremendous interest in our advanced product line, which generated many leads and appointments,” says Khaled Kleib, managing director of Bostik Middle East. “Just as importantly, we were happy about the excitement created by our growth in the Middle East. This area is expected to become the fastest growing hygiene production region, and our presence is welcomed by many.” “Our expansion in Africa and the Middle East is a continuation of our commitment to investing in geographies with a strong potential for nonwovens growth,” continues Kleib. “This is a region that is rich in opportunity and an ideal place from which to advance our leading position. Additionally, our Global Nonwoven Business Unit (GNW BU) will further enhance customer support and foster even deeper relationships in the region.” As a leading global provider of nonwoven adhesive solutions, Bostik offers an extensive portfolio of disposable hygiene solutions that improve product quality while saving on materials and cost. These include the industry’s premier olefin-based adhesive, Relyance and ZeroCreep, an adhesive that provides unrivaled hold and stretch.
